In science, antiaging is the process of slowing, preventing, or reversing the aging process in the humxn
body. It can also refer to treatments to prevent signs of aging (wrinkles/age spots). Anti-wrinkle ability
(see notes below) of peptides [short chains of amino acids, building blocks of proteins (i.e. collagen,
elastin, keratin)] to stimulate the physical and biological interface between the epidermis and the
dermis to produce more collagen and elastin. A trio of “intelligent molecules” can reduce wrinkle depth
by stimulating synthesis of collagen, elastin, glycosaminoglycans, and hyaluronic acid; polyphenol-rich
green tea and witch hazel, and more than twenty carefully selected ingredients, for a non-irritating,
rejuvenating serum that can minimize wrinkles/fine lines, skin imperfections, and improve skin firmness.
Vitamin-rich green tea polyphenol EGCG can stimulate a Ras, MEKK1, MEK3, and p38 cascade to
increase AP1 factor-regulated hINV gene expression in keratinocytes; improving skin moisture and
elasticity, and reducing wrinkle depth. Witch hazel tannins astringent effects can reduce pore size, tighten
skin, regulate sebum, and soothe; help with signs of aging, antioxidants neutralize/prevent free radical
damage to skin from UV rays; help retain collagen, improving elasticity and reducing wrinkles.
PEP7IDETM (P7) mimics DHEA (“youth” hormone), reducing proinflammatory cytokine IL-6 production,
promoting skin rejuvenation. DHEA decreases with age, P7 slows degradation of collagen, by helping
maintain a balanced cellular environment within skin and restore cytokine balance to skin, helping skin
look younger. DHEA increases the rate of sebum, and improves skin brightness, to counteract loss of
elasticity and epidermal atrophy. Palmitic (saturated fatty acid) makes peptides more lipophilic;
enhancing penetration levels, efficiency, power, and stability; enabling potentiation or initiation of
transport to living tissues of skin; boosting effectiveness and performance. Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1
stimulates collagen synthesis, prevent its degradation after exposure to UVA rays, and increase skin
thickness to improve barrier function by mimicking multifunctional peptide TGF-β, responsible for
boosting the production of collagen, hyaluronic acid, and other glycosaminoglycans, acting as both a
stimulator and inhibitor of cellular replication. Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12 (PH-12) also mimics TGF-β,
stimulating collagen/elastin production, and improving elasticity/ firmness. PH-12 stimulates fibroblast
proliferation, mediated through a binding of PH-12 to a receptor of fibroblast; collagen, elastin, and
hyaluronic acid proliferation is promoted, improving skin water content and elasticity, dermis thickness
increases, reducing wrinkles; stimulate cell communication, and repair age-related skin damage.
How to use: At night, skin is most active to repair and rebuild. While the body is at rest, peptides can
promote skin cell renewal and hydration. Dispense 1-2 pumps onto fingertips and apply nightly to clean,
damp, moist skin; which is more permeable than dry skin. Smooth over entire face, focusing on wrinkleprone areas. Avoid contact with eyes/mouth. Best if applied thirty (30) minutes prior to sleeping.
