(ORGANIC) ALOE VERA GEL

Hydrating gel for face and body after sun care, and sunburn. Organic aloe vera (AV) leaf gel, organic green
tea, vegan hyaluronic acid, and organic jojoba oil (JO). JO enhances the passive penetration of lipophilic
[able to dissolve, be dissolved in, or absorb lipids (fats)] active ingredients allowing for improved
penetration of solubilized actives. (See note below). AV 75 nutrients and 200 bioactive compounds:
vitamins, enzymes, minerals: calcium, chromium, copper, magnesium, manganese, potassium, selenium,
sodium, and zinc; sugars, lignin, saponins, salicylic and amino acids; including anthraquinones,
glucomannans, glycosides, lipids, and sterols. Skin absorbs (organic) AV (leaf gel), up to 4x faster than
water (Davis, 1997). Caffeic, chlorogenic, p-coumaric and ferulic acids are some of the eighteen phenolic,
natural antioxidant compounds. Copper, selenium, and zinc are involved in destruction of free radicals
through cascading enzyme systems; superoxide radicals are reduced to hydrogen peroxide by superoxide
dismutases in the presence of copper and zinc cofactors, hydrogen peroxide is then reduced to water by
the selenium-gluta-thione peroxidase couple. Lignins as structural material of cellulose content enables
its penetration properties. AV can soak into all the layers of skin and this may be helpful in increasing the
penetration of certain molecules across the skin, as lignins can penetrate the toughened areas of skin.
Topical application of AV gel can accelerate the healing of burn wounds, reduce pain from burns, and
help with acne, herpes simplex (cold sores), lichen planus, and psoriasis.
Anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant aloin [A (aka barbaloin) and B (or isobarbaloin)] inhibits
collagenase enzyme, increasing fibroblast cells that skin generates; can alleviate pain and promote
healing; suppressing inflammatory response by inhibiting NF-κB signaling, and protecting against skin
cell damage by reducing reactive oxygen species overproduction and ameliorating the dissipation of
oxidative defense systems. AV can stimulate fibroblast activity and proliferation, increasing collagen
synthesis, producing collagen and elastin fibers making skin more elastic and less wrinkled. AV gel has
protective effect against radiation damage to skin. Mucopolysaccharides help in binding moisture into
skin. It has cohesive effects on the superficial flaking epidermal cells by sticking them together, which
softens skin. Amino acids soften hardened skin cells and zinc acts as an astringent to tighten pores. (Dry)
skin is helped by its moisturizing qualities, improving skin integrity, appearance of fine lines/wrinkles,
and erythema (redness of skin). Its six antiseptic agents: cinnamonic and salicylic acid, lupeol, phenols,
sulfur, and urea nitrogen have inhibitory action on bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
Anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, and antioxidant green tea polyphenols combat free radicals; epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), can improve acne and oily skin, help hydrate skin, moisture retention, for less
wrinkle formation; scavenge free radicals and reduce generation of melanin. Anti-inflammatory JO can
tame chaffing and chapping, reduce redness from drying, ease eczema and rosacea, and keep skin calm
and comfortable. Vitamin E and B-complex vitamins can help control and repair skin damage.

How to use: Concentrated. Apply desired amount on skin or hair and scalp.
