Body balm is a more concentrated formula than lotion, and can provide more intense hydration and
moisture; made without water, versus lotions, many with a high percentage of water. With a large
proportion of water to other ingredients, it could be the water providing moisture and hydration. More
dense than body butter, a rich, creamy texture melts onto skin when applied. Nourishing skin and
providing protection with oils and butter from plants. Body balm may feel different than lotion, it is
probably the natural ingredients providing nourishment. A great spot treatment to keep (dry or
dehydrated) skin protected. At night, use body balm to support moisture retention and restoration and
wake up with fresher, softer skin. Anti-wrinkle formula of moisturizing and hydrating, cocoa butter,
coconut oil, jojoba oil, bee-friendly beeswax, and vitamin E. After sun care balm; Belly balm; Hand, foot,
and body balm. No added fragrances, dyes, or harsh chemicals. Antioxidant, fatty acid, vitamin-rich cocoa
butter can lock in moisture, strengthen the protective barrier of skin, improve skin elasticity and texture,
reduce inflammation and promote cell regeneration, protect skin from environmental stressors, prevent
damage from UV radiation, enhance skin tone and promote evenness, and support skin healing and
reduce the appearance of scars, fine lines and wrinkles.
Coconut oil has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant effects, potential to repair the skin
barrier, helps with wound healing, minimizes skin aging, moisturizes and soothes skin, and demonstrated
anti-inflammatory activity by suppressing inflammatory markers and protecting skin by enhancing skin
barrier function. Its anti-inflammatory qualities inhibit various cytokine (signaling protein) levels and
improve skin barrier function by upregulating mRNA expression, and protect against ultraviolet B (UVB)
irradiation (shorter wave-length than UVA, associated with skin burning). Its moisturizing and conditioning lauric acid content can hydrate and repair skin, and anti-inflammatory properties may reduce redness
and inflammation. Its ferulic acid (FA) has a protective role for the main skin structures: collagen, elastin,
fibroblasts, keratinocytes. FA inhibits melanogenesis, enhances angiogenesis, and accelerates wound
healing; is a photoprotective agent, delayer of skin photoaging processes, and a brightening component.
Moisturizing, natural antimicrobial jojoba oil provides non-greasy moisture that absorbs into skin (see
note below), has wound healing qualities, is soothing and anti-inflammatory; has behenic, erucic, gondoic
(aka 11-eicosenoic acid), oleic, palmitic, palmitoleic, and stearic acids, vitamin B complex, and vitamin E.
Noncomedogenic, gondoic acid can be easily absorbed by skin, has emollient (protects, moisturizes, and
lubricates) qualities, helps to control oil production and prevent breakouts; leaving a glowing complexion
without the feeling of a heavy oil on skin, unclogged pores and softened stubborn blackheads. Beeswax
creates a protective barrier on the surface of skin, protecting skin from environmental irritants and harsh
weather. Noncomedogenic, beeswax enables skin to breathe freely, making it beneficial for acne-prone
and sensitive skin. Vitamin E can prevent skin from losing moisture, protect cells from damage, and
soften skin. It has photoprotective properties (helps with molecular damage caused by sunlight),
protecting skin from various deleterious effects due to solar radiation by acting as a free radical scavenger.

How to use: Apply to (dry) skin as necessary.

BUTTER, ORGANIC JOJOBA (SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS) SEED OIL, ORGANIC BEESWAX (CERA ALBA)*,
VITAMIN E (TOCOPHEROL). *Premium beeswax harvested at a low rate, so there is no real negative effect
on the colony. Fresh product, no artificial, natural, or synthetic preservatives.
